What is the best commercial home-style smoker for real 'Q'?

Tom: If I had to choose only one cooker for my deck, no doubt
about it, it would be a 22 1/2" Weber Kettle - "One
Touch". With this appliance you can do it all, Grill and
Indirect Smoke, and have control!
If I got to choose one more to compliment my arsenal it would
be the Weber "Smoky Mountain Cooker", also referred
to around Q circles as a "bullet". It's basically a
water pan smoker resembling also the Brinkman units.
I know this sounds like a commercial for Weber but it's not. I'm
not their tech staff, sponsored by them, or anything like that.
I just really like their stuff. It's well built with quality material,
and has very good design. The thing I like about Weber's is the
porcelain finish, inside and out. I am a nut for cleanliness.
Everytime I cook on my units they are as clean as the day they
came out of the box, inside and out! I use a smokehouse cleaner
I buy from Zep, apply it with a garden sprayer, wait 30 minutes
and then hit it with a hot water hose. Brand new again!
Your wife would'nt cook her Christmas turkey in the same roaster
as Thanksgiving without washing it, would she?
Webers cost more but you know they say: "Buy the best and
only cry once"-nuff said?

Mike,
The previous message reminded me to request your source for Zep smokehouse cleaner. I remember you saying that you used it to clean your Weber "One Touch." I live in Utah so a catalog source would be nice. Additionally, why did you choose the "One Touch" Weber over the "Master Touch." Is it just a matter of choice or are there some other advantages you like.

Bob,
The Zep Distributor nearest me is in Riverside Mo. I just put
in a call to Ed Roith (HAPPY HOLLA BBQ), but just got his recorder.
Ed is a distributor for Zep. Maybe he can makes some arrangements
to ship outside of K.C. As soon as I hear from him I'll let everyone
know.
As for the matter of the "One Touch" over the "Master
Touch" Weber kettles, I use the former because that's what
I own. I've never even bought a Kettle new! My first Kettle (Old
Red)I bought in a Garage Sale for 5 bucks. Had to clean it up
but it served me well for 2 years on the circuit and over 200
practice sessions! Trust me, I got the data logs to prove it!.
Then last Spring I sold a house for an older man that was going
into a nursing home and he had a practically brand new "One
Touch", this one was black, (it matched my bullets), so I
asked him how much? He said 25 bucks and I handed him 50, and
told him I was going to win the National Championship in it this
year, and it oughtta be worth that! We both got a deal.
I just got a call from him yesterday, I had mailed him a letter
about two weeks ago telling him the news, and he called me back
and thanked me for telling him. You know that old man loved that
grill, It was probably 10 years old but it looked brand New! It
made him feel good to know it was still alive and doing well!
But you know those Master Touches sure look slick with that ash
catcher! naw, I'll dance with one one that brung me!

I just spoke with Ed Roith (Happa Holla BBQ) 1994 National Champion,
He is a rep for Zep Chemical Co and he would be glad to help anyone
out there to get some smoke house cleaner the quickest and most
efficient way possible.
