Hi Mike,

Sorry to burst your balloon, but you bought a gas brill, not a
barbecue grill. Okay for grilling, but a master magician couldn't
barbecue on it.

If it can produce 30+M BTUs, given plenty of warm up time,
it will broil steaks. Less er levels are good for grilling burgers,
wienies, fish, chicken,etc.

If it has left and right burners with separate controls, you
can roast (250-450*F) by shutting off one side and placing the food
on the other.

If you can further redu ce the temperature to about 215*F and
add some smoke flavor, either by smoke flavored rocks or green or wet
wood, you can approximate barbecuing. But if you want to do the real
thing, you have to go to wood or charcoal.

However, if you get a good book, say from the list at KCBS,
and follow the instructions, you might surprise yourself.

Good luck,

Smoky
