I've always heard that fruitwood is good for
smoking although some of it can be acidy.
I have a Bradford Pear Tree (non fruit bearing
tree) that I just pruned.
1) is this a "good" fruitwood or "acidy" tasting
2) The tree was in bloom and green when I pruned
it four days ago. Does the wood need to dry out
first or is it ready for this weekend's BBQ?
