Hi Scott, I whole hartily recommend the Klose built pits.
You can expect to spend more than the new braunfels smokers, but I think that the difference in quality is well worth the additional expense.

Check the archives for some of the discussions on the different types of Pits available and you will see that there are many opinions and pros and cons expressed.
