It seems to me that you're wanting KCBS to make a rule that would benefit/affect maybe 2% of the teams that compete in KCBS contests and affect perhaps only a handful of KCBS sanctioned events that have a rule against displaying a teams sponsors(I do 15-20 contests a year and I've never cooked a contest that had this rule).
On the face of it, that seems pretty silly...but that's just me.
