question about shake's wings

Something has happened to to Shake's TV debute on my DVR. After he pulled the wings out of the fryer, what did he dip them? I think I'm gonna use the hot sauce/butter deal for some, and keep the rest plain. Thinking I might try what he did, but dont know what it was. Thanks for any help, Tim
