This is a first year contest, being put on by a contest cook (Chubby's BBQ). It's going to be in Wamac, Illinois (neighbor to Centralia), which is about an hour east of St. Louis. It's about 25 minutes away from the Salem cook site.

They've applied for their sanctioning back in December...still have yet to hear from KCBS, but since there are no other contests conflicting, shouldn't be a problem. I think they're looking for around 25 teams for this first year, so that would certainly make them a State Championship and a Jack Qualifier.
