Keep in mind that Splenda (more specifically sucralose) is simply chlorinated sugar, which is a poisonous chlorocarbon. Chlorine molecules are combined with sucrose molecules. That's why it "measures like sugar" and (they say) "tastes like sugar".

It's certainly not going to kill anyone, but it's also not natural by any means.
