So, the team of the year is the total points a team receives in one year. How does a team get listed? I saw some teams with 1 point. I had 3rd place chicken (3pts), a 1st place pork (5pts) and 4th place brisket (2pts). I realize the 5th thru 10 place finishes do not accrue points. This totals 10 points. Since the contest had 30 people the points are doubled so it is now 20pts.
Dr Porkenstein was GC in the same contest. He has been burning up the midwest comps all year. He has a total of 25 points? Doesn't make sense. Also If I have 20 points I don't see my name listed on the overall or any point listings in the chicken, pork or brisket.
Just wondering how its figured since last year was my first realyear of competition. It doesn't make sense to me.
