so I was scrambling to get the jerk chicken, bbq rub'd chicken, ABTs, ribs and reheat brisket on the pit for company tonight and I noticed no pellets were feeding. the starter element was hot and everything was on, but no pellets... great. sheered pin? pellet crete? what?!!?

scrambled around to check everything and got out my pit tool kit and started to pull off the cover when I noticed... I forgot to close the hopper lid after adding pellets (safety switch was open). DUH.

I've done something similar before on my WSM (for those about to make comments about pellet feeders).. had two briskes and some wings on it all set up and assembled. Then realized I didn't put any charcoal in the bottom!

Some days were meant for just sitting outside and staring at the clouds. If I had a restaurant I might forget to unlock the door for patrons ; )
