I just sand down the spots and hit them with a gloss automotive paint. This is what is on them from the factory.
I use a 500 degree manifold paint (gloss) if the paint is bubbling a bit around the doors from steam. This slows the bubbling problem down.
A high temp 1200 degree bbq/stove paint will completely cure the bubbling. The only drawback to this fix is flat black and looks gray against the gloss black on the rest of the cooker.
