Read the back of the 1099 form, box 3 instructions says prizes and awards. I'm not worried about claiming winnings - I just want it catergorized correctly so I don't have IRS issues down the road. I had to contact the issurers and have them send corrected forms out. I know I'm not the only one, our forms from Salem IL, Mobile AL, and Mason City IA were wrong.
