In the last 20 years I think I've only missed one election...a primary...was out of town unexpectedly.
Voting is, in my opinion, one of the most important things we can do as U.S. citizens. It's not only our right (thanks to those who have fought for it) but it is our duty.
My oldest kids are 10 and 7...they were with me at 7:30 this morning to vote and have gone with me to vote at every election since they were born. We read the ballot together, mark the ballot together, and discuss it before, during, and after just to make sure they understand how important it is for them to vote on their own when they're old enough. The youngest kids (3 and 1) will go with my bride for the same reasons.
Carpe 'Que and Carpe Vote!
