All events, outside of invitationals, should be open to all teams. Kids cooks would be my only exception. Just because you are "Pro" does not mean you will run away with an Unsanctioned or Backyard Event not to mention there could be other "Pros" there. Heck, in Florida, they cook all four categories in Back yard, real head scratcher there.
I wish they would just do away with Backyard period, my first cook off I competed against 90 of the best teams in the country, took my lumps and moved on. Glad I did.
