Everything I've found has lots of bad comments in various publications, most doing with just substandard units to not holding a charge for more than 20 min. The sonic is overhyped, the cabela's seem to be hit or miss (on guy complained he took it back 4 times)
Given that, a good corded model wouldn't have the problems. Just carry a good battery, and inverter and you're good to go.
