choose a team(s) that will be competing in many 2008 events that aren't well known but have been "middle of the pack" for a few years. Follow the success they have with your product. Specifically, "the product improved their average score on pork X percent, ribs by Y percent".
If you choose known winners it doesn't really help the creditability that using your product actually had any effect in getting them the win. You are looking for improvement which will win over in the end.
Lastly, active and passive drafters have been invented already as I'm sure you know.
