Tuning a Lang

Has anyone out there tuned their Lang cooker? I recently bought a Lang 84 and it works very well as is, but from the posts I've read about tuning Klose pits it does seem that tuning is beneficial. I'm not sure how you would tune a Lang othere than cutting sections out of the plate????? Just curious if anyone has done it...successfuly.
