I don't know if overall they're lower or higher but we cooked one of the two or three best briskets we've ever done last weekend and got HAMMERED by the judges. One even gave it a THREE in taste! I guaran-damned-tee you I've never cooked a brisket that was close to being considered inedible, even stretching it!
