The contest is August 22 for chili with a people's choice award and cash for three places plus a Backyard BBQ for the locals and a VIP sponsor party on Friday night with the Cajun Hot Soles and the Sanctioned competition on Saturday with the judging starting at noon for the meats. Sauce will be judged before noon and desserts will be judged after the 4 meat categories. Awards will be a 4:00 with over $10,000 in cash and prizes with $2,000 for Grand Champion and a Hawken Blackpowder Muzzleloading Rifle and $1,000 for Reserve. We will pay out to 10 places in the 4 meat categories and 5 places in the optional categories of Dessert, Sauce, Showmanship.
By the way we are located where Interstate 90 and Interstate 35 cross near the Iowa border.
