Just recently, Tom pointed out to me that he was in Sam's one day and was checking meat prices. He said the cryos of two butts were priced at $.50 a lb. higher than the per lb. cost on a case price. Usually in the past, the difference has been $.20-.25.
Wanting to check this out myself, I was in Sam's on Thursday and really only two two-packs. I checked the price and it was $1.78 per lb. Checked the case price on the wall and it was only $1.27 per lb. When I asked the meat guy, he had not idea why of course.
Anyone else seen this? Wonder what is going on.
