Actually there are a couple of different 'cook it in the ground' methods such as (but not limited to):

1. Steamed clams, corn, potato and other New England faire
2. Cooking stuff in Dutch Ovens
3. Roasted pig, maybe like what might be done in Hawaii or in the islands
4. Korean Kim Chee

What exactly are you interested in doing?
