We had a stretch where we won nearly half the contests we entered. But we knew we just had a lot of "our days" instead of thinking we were actually better cooks than all these other teams. It's humbling to walk around and watch the other teams and you can see there is a big passion in what they are cooking. It's wild to think that most of the teams are cooking all night long and practicing all year long.
Maybe just tell your family/friends to talk to the other teams, and even think about doing some judging. Then they'll see it takes a special day to win it all.
