Allen White) for many years ... and that particular piece *Little Green Tents* was published in the Gazette every year on Memorial Day weekend ~ at least it was when I lived in Emporia ... don't know if they still do, or not. Along with Zula Bennington Greene (Peggy Of The Flint Hills) ... Walt Mason is at the top of my list of favorite Kansas writers.
