hi john, thanks. its not effected me personally at all (except for some closed roads going to the airport and work). they are in the process of evacuating people in the 500 year flood plain(in dsm) as i type. cedar rapids has been hit the hardest. i heard 10,000 or so had to be evacuated. its strange being in the middle of this. life is normal for 90% of people. i will say the officials have done a great job with keeping everyone up to date(proven by my first post 2-3 days ago). people are calm, and dealing with it. only one person to my knowlege has been caught abusing the situation (looting), hes' probably dead now :). i imagine wisconsin has the same thing going on.
