Everyone has this all wrong. Pellets are 100% wood. They are more wood than Kingsford charcoal. Why hate wood?
The real argument that people equate to pellets is the controls. So why not hate controllers (Traeger, FE IQ4, Guru, Stoker, etc.)instead of fuel. Some people need to get a little education before condemning...
As Rick has said several times here, a pellet cooker is no different than a Backwoods with a Guru. The affect is the same.
