For many years now it's been against FCC regs to advertise whiskey on TV. Why, I don't know because wine and especially beer commercials are big time advertisers. Where would Super Sunday be without Budwieser? As you know by opening a menu at TGIF, Jack Daniel's is big on BBQ sauce even though no whiskey is in it. Since whiskey is probably 99 percent of Jack Daniel's business, use of the full name is prohibited. Since they own the name "The Jack" and it refers to their BBQ connections, it's a no brainer.
