Compensated by the KCBS? Since when are meat inspectors working for the KCBS? They should be working (or volunteering) for the organizer. If you don't want to do it, don't do it.

Before this hobby got so beholden to the damned greenbacks, teams could inspect each other's competition meat. If an organizer or inspector wasn't around, you just asked your neighbor. No big deal. I've said it before, I'll say it again: it was better back then.
