I have one nephew who played football at Wash. U in St. Louis, and another who's playing now at Lake Forest College in Chicago, and a few centuries ago, I was a big hog of a guard myself, so I say from experience: don't underestimate what these boys can eat! Three sandwiches is nothin' to a 250 pound lineman. I'd play it safe and have 40 or 50 pounds. Pork's relatively cheap, and it's better to have leftovers than not enough.
