Hi Turk,
I support opening up the board meetings with a couple conditions. My understanding of using a listen in phone call would cost KCBS for each listener. I think the listener should have to pay, not KCBS. A streaming connection through the KCBS website might be an alternative.
The second condition, some times it might be better to conduct board buisness in private, such as when KCBS is exploring bids on a project. It would be counter productive if potential bidders found out what bids had already been placed.
