Really, I agree with Salmon; the digital control is all you really need for the pit, but I would also always have an extra hot rod on hand. They will go bad on you; I've had to replace about 5 on my model 075 (I cook on it alot) in the 6 years I've owned it, and of course they only go out when you want to cook something!!
