It must be an Iowa thing - I boiled ribs today...
A little different plan, though. They were beef ribs. First I blasted them in a hot over for a couple hours with some aromatics then transferred them to a pot of water with more veggies. Made a couple gallons of beef stock and reduced it to about 3 quarts. Hosting our homebrew club meeting tomorrow and instead of BBQ this year, I am doing soups. Gumbo, chicken noodle, ham and beans, chili and venison stew. Should be good stuff with a few homebrews and a bourbon or two for desert.
