Keep in mind that injecting is not for all cooks and cooking methods it is but 1 step in a process that includes spice, meat selection, cooking, and holding. As far as liquids to mix it with I have heard off all kinds from Vineager to Beer. Keep in mind that your liquid selection is just 1 step in your spice selection. You change that you could change your final product without even realizing it. So keep trying and switch liquids and keep us posted on your results so if you have anymore questions we can all help.
