With your roux being about the color of your pups (chocolate bar) I'm guessing it didn't do a whole lot of thickening.
Did you pull some out of the oven early when it was lighter in color to use as your thickening enforcer?
Good looking bowl... probably actually pretty large, just next to a very large roll... one of them optical delisciouoons.
