Yo to All, I sometimes use a cork to help keep the Polder probe off the top grate on the WSM. I wedge the cork between two of the rods and stick the probe through the cork so that the probe does not touch metal. I couldn't find the cork I usually use. So I grabbed one off the bottle of wine I had in the fridge.

I thought the material seemed different from the cork I had been using. I haven't bought a bottle of wine in several years, so I didn't know what to think, but I thought I would try it anyway. I don't know what the stuff was that the cork was made of, but I do know that it melts........

Lager,

Juggy
