thanks salmon. i(we) were just trying to give him some good advice, without self-promoting. i guess the proper answer would have been to "shop at hawgeyesbbq.com for all of your bbq needs, including quality offset smokers" :). damned if you do, damned if you don't :).

ps-there are a bunch of quality offsets out there, and a bunch of good dealers who sell them, including yourself. to me, metal thickness, welds, etc. determines quality. insulated fireboxes add to the quality, and price. good small offsets go anywhere from 700-to several thousand, from what i've seen. sorry for the commentary.
