All you should question when judging appearance is does it look good or doesn't it and where from 2-9 should I score it. We cooks don't have motives. We are not trying to hide anything we are not trying to tell you sauce is good or bad, we are just trying to put the best product out there we can and hope you judge it fairly on it's own merits. Seems pretty simple to me. No big life decisions involved. Perhaps your over thinking it ?
