with a pellet cooker as well as any other you get what you pay for.
the FEC100 is by far the best pellet cooker out there in my opinion but we also have tragers and like them as much but we use them for different applications.
if you are doing only a couple briskets or pork butts every once in a while the traeger can put out some good Q, it also grills well.
if you are doing bigger cooks go with the FEC
