Hi Rick, Sorry you're having those tpes of problems. I purchased an optex wireless 1000 with 3 sensors and that works great. I have one in front and two in the back. When someone makes it go off, it has three different alarm sounds so you know right where they are plus you hear the alarm and they don't so you can take care of the problem or call the PD. The sensors take one 9 volt apiece and the main unit just plugs into any wall socket. I have even taken these with me and put one sensor in the trailor and the main unit into a hotel unit and I can sleep like a baby. One time will I was gone the neighbor plugged the main unit in at his place. The sensors are also water/weather proof.
