Hey Mike, When the local meat processor here in the 'burg got their license for processing emus, the steaks sold for over twenty bucks per pound and ground meat was almost five bucks @ pound. When the bottom fell out of the emu market about ten years ago, people were turning them loose.

That's a good analogy about how little meat you get from a deer. That same processor here in town, weighs your deer, requests how you want it butchered and tells you on the spot how much meat you get back and what the cost will be. They also tell you that the venison you receive may not be the processed from deer that you brought in.

Thanks for the pillow case trick. Something tells me I may need it.
