I've not used the 400. I have used a Cookshack 150 electric indoors. Worst smoker I ever bought. I've also used a Southern Pride SC200 much better than the CS150 because it was 240v and had convection fan. I could cook good Q on it but the results were never as good as what I can get with Gas and wood in Ole Hickory. I don't get a penny from Ole Hickory rather they get my money when I buy new. I would look for a good 5 year old used unit as I think they were the best quality I've owned. Brand new is good but fit and finish was better a few years ago.
