Thanks for posting this here. I grew up on a family farm and so did my wife. My wife has been working for a local community farming organization for the past year, which has given us both a different perspective of our food sources.

It's changed our purchasing habits and the way we think about food in general. We buy from local producers whenever we get the chance.

Those vegetables you buy at roadside stands are not always locally produced. A lot of them are purchased at the port and marketed as "locally produced".
