New KCBS member...

Only been a member a couple of years. Only scan the Bull Sheet a few minutes an issue. Did enjoy Top Chick and Walter Jetton articles this month. Click the forums a few of times a day. I've enjoyed being part of the 10-12 contests these past 2 years and learning Q. Just a casual member I guess but man after reading it today, and of late, my curiosity is killing me. How is the KCBS so screwed up? Can anyone enlighten us newbies? Not after names here or finger pointing, log in on a different handle...I'm just wanting to understand. How were the earlier days of the KCBS better?
Sorry about the fellow resigning. Obviously he's highly thought of and a great asset to the bbq community.
