The rule of thumb is that if you cook in any pro event then you can not cook in a backyard event.. I know that at my contest in Mobile I have a semi-pro category for people who have gotten into the big event but didn't do well, didn't like it but because of cooking as a pro team couldn't go back. So what I do in Mobile is that if you have not finished higher than 20 overall or 20th in any category in any sanctioned event you can cook semi-pro or if you are a backyard team that thinks your cooking is a step ahead of plain backyard then you can move up to the Semi-pro division and see how you like it if you don't then you can move back down... just my thoughts..
