That makes sense. I see that now in looking deeper into their contest Web sites (wasn't up for that at midnight! LOL!). I can also see where a misunderstanding might have occured on a holiday weekend and if you didn't look closely at the schedules and only at start/end days, like my assumption, you might have planned to go to both with the thought in mind that turn-ins were on different days. Then, when you arrive, you should quickly inform the reps to alter your team name. Still, I'm not sure it's quite a "much ado over nothing" kind of situation. Problem is the question becomes "Now what?" Yes, rule two states that the same team cannot enter two contests in the same day but it does not spell out the penalty for doing so. Has there been a precident set in the past? Some of you have said "what's the point of having rules if we don't enforce them?" The better question is what's the use of rules without penalties being established for breaking them? I'm not sure what can or should be done at this point. How can you establish a new penalty with one team on the chopping block waiting to be the guinnea pig for a hastily put together punishment? If we speed, we know we'll get a ticket and pay a fine. If we rob or murder, we know we're gonna spend time in the big house. What do we know about pentalties in barbeque? If there are established guidelines for all of these, I have not seen them.
