The American Royal is what it is...the American Royal. With 50,000+ people partying about, this is not the place to take your kids.
An average bbq cookoff, for the most part, is a great place to take the kids. A lot of children have grown up at cookoffs. As with taking your kids anyplace, there are always certain elements to be aware of.
It's not church, it's not prayer meeting, it's not t ball. Its a competition comprised of adults. Some drink, some brag, some cuss.
