This show is only skewing the reality of bbq contests. If you've not competed then you haven't a clue. The contests aren't about the smack talk and arguments and fighting, although there is a lot of drinking. It is about fun, and fellowship, and food. Though it's not comparable to a church service, it's not much comparable to what's displayed on TV.
