Contests will always come and go, that is beyond the control of the KCBS. People change in the local organizations that chose to put on cook offs, funding dries up, sponsors dry up, etc...
I chose to look at it glass half full and enjoy all cook offs. My least favorite cookoffs are the ones where the Organizers ironically, don't seem to have wanted a cookoff after all.
