My staple for cooking is Kingsford. I usually use a mixture of Kingsford briquettes and Cowboy brand lump charcoal (mostly because cowboy is all that is available in my area). If its cheaper, and better its not a tough call in my opinion :) I like the combo of even heat and longevity from the kingsford, and the woodsy flavor of the lump. I think the cowboy lump is a good product as well.
P.S. Check out the virtual Weber bullet website. Chis uses Kingsford above all else.
