They are so differant than competition ribs, but they are also so differently good. I love to go there once every couple of years but I would never try to duplicate them. I ate them ribs, long before I knew anything about KCBS, etc. It was that restaurant that intoduced me to ribs back in 1987. I built the Marriott hotel back then and tried to eat bbq every night of the week in that town. You could walk to Beale Street aftre those ribs and have a great evening.
