Well lets see, he is the biggest contest organizer in the country offering the biggest bucks backed by the biggest sponsors. These sponsors are on tight budgets (the economy sucks) so they are not able to commit ass early as the might otherwise be able too. I understand protecting the teams (which I am one) from advertised payouts versus actual payouts which may be lower. I think its in the best interest to the teams to cut him some slack. He does not have a pattern of anything but the biggest payouts and a loyal following. Should they cut some slack for other contest, probably. The best case senerio would be Smoke on the Water productions sanctioned by KCBS - a Win Win, big payouts and KCBS points and a large fee to KCBS. If not we may have a new sanctioning body and competition generally makes for a better product.
